SERVICES & PRICES

Professional athletes and coaches have utilized muscle therapy for years. This type of bodywork acts to improve performance, reduce pain, prevent injury, encourage focus and shorten recovery time. It basically involves two types of responses: a mechanical response as a result of the pressure and movement, and a reflex response where the nerves respond to the stimulation of muscle manipulation.

INTEGRATED SPORTS SESSION

Bodywork on chosen muscle groups to help improve athletic performance and reduce the risk of injury/pain via soft tissue tools (listed below), compression, stretching and assisted ROM techniques. Reduce pain, increase flexibility and enhance recovery time from injury and/or overworked muscles.

MYOFASCIAL DECOMPRESSION (CUPPING)

Suction and negative pressure created by MFD improves circulation, reduces edema, releases rigid soft tissue, drains excess fluids and toxins, separates adhesions and fascia, and delivers blood/lymph flow to stagnant skin and muscles. Minimal discomfort and residual detox fatigue may be experienced days following.

IASTM (Instrument-Assisted Soft Tissue Manipulation)

An advanced therapeutic technique that uses specific applied instruments (Graston, GuaSha, etc..), to promote mobilization of restricted tissue via 'scraping' of the skin. As with any form of manual therapy and depending on the athlete's condition, minor discomfort during the procedure and some bruising afterward may be experienced.

VIBRATION THERAPY

Using the TimTam percussion gun, the intense vibration helps to decrease pain, accelerate muscle recovery, recruit blood flow, breakdown scar tissue, release lactic acid build-up, and enhance lymphatic flow through a high frequency stimulus. This type of therapy is used in tandem w/manual therapy on focused muscle groups.

MOBILITY STRETCHING

The body is designed for movement. The goal of stretching is to develop and maintain appropriate ROM around joints, and also to aid in the strengthening of tendons and ligaments. Stretching/releasing tight muscles should also go in tandem with fortifying weak muscles. This includes, but is not limited to; Passive, Isometric and/or PNF (Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation) and Hip Flexor Release.
